Islamic Studies Level 8
The level 8 class is intended for children ages 13-16 who are able to understand abstract concepts and social responsibility.
All lessons are presented thematically in distinct units. Unit 1 begins with several lessons on the Creator and His message. Along with explaining the Sunan of Allah, the unit analyzes several Qur’anic verses. Nabi Muhammad and the challenges he faced in Madinah are subjects of units 2 and 3. Units 4 and 5 provide the ideal Islamic ethical framework. This framework describes the foundation of the best kind of Islamic society. Certain moral and ethical standards must be followed when a person interacts with family members, neighbors, or friends. Students are taught to be honest and forthright in private and public life. Unit 6 offers a few topics on how certain political matters affected Islam after the death of Nabi Muhammad.
